USF researchers partner with law enforcement to help Florida families find missing loved ones
University of South Florida researchers, in conjunction with local law enforcement agencies and the Florida Sheriff’s Association Cold Case Commission hosted the second annual Missing in Florida Day. The goal of the event is to help solve violent crime cold cases through anthropology, scientific research, education and forensic art.

Dr. Lauren Arrington earns National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship
Dr. Lauren Arrington, chair of the Department of English, has earned a National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Public Scholars Fellowship. The fellowship will allow her to complete her book about how the New Deal’s art projects enabled a network of women artists to engage in advocacy efforts during the time.

The impact of trust in medical providers and how women deal with their cancer risk
Department of Communication's Dr. Marleah Dean Kruzel worked with an interdisciplinary team to examine what factors influenced women's decision making in managing their inherited cancer risk, particularly among those with gene mutations known to cause breast cancer.
